THis week we finished Of Mice and Men which we then began to analaze the way relationships and conncections fit into the story and helped it progress. Through out the story we meet a slew of characters, but the main ones that exibited relationships and conncections would have to be Candy and his dog, George and Lennie, and Curley and his wife. Each relationship helped develop the story and add somewhat of a deeper meaning.
Candy and his dog, which was old, both kept each other company and helped set a theme of ownership and connections which lied between Candy and his dog. YOu see this again with Lennie and George, even though theyre both vasly different, both hold a certain feeling of comfort and ease with each other. Both of these relationships are nice and show a relationship in which one or both parties benefit. Curley and his wife show that not all relationships benefit anyone, in which theyre relationhip caused haovic on the farm and neither were happy.
